Yoga, Matcha & Music: Nomad x lululemon with Malina Dawn
On June 21, Nomad had the opportunity to partner with lululemon and yoga instructor Malina Dawn for a special community event that brought together movement, mindfulness, music, and sustainable coffee culture.
What started as a simple morning yoga class quickly turned into something much more. It became a reminder of how meaningful community experiences can be when people come together with intention.
A Morning of Movement and Connection
Participants gathered with their yoga mats ready for a morning designed to energize both body and mind. Led by Malina Dawn, the class welcomed yogis of all levels and created an atmosphere that felt approachable, uplifting, and inclusive.
Adding to the experience was a live DJ who provided music throughout the session. The combination of movement and music transformed the space into something vibrant and engaging. Instead of the traditional quiet studio environment, the class felt dynamic and alive. Each sequence flowed naturally with the rhythm of the music, creating an experience that was both grounding and energizing.
Throughout the morning, there was a strong sense of connection among participants. Friends practiced side by side, new faces joined the community, and everyone shared the same intention of starting the day with movement and mindfulness.
Matcha After the Mat
Following the class, participants were treated to freshly prepared matcha from the Nomad team.
There is something special about gathering after a workout to enjoy a drink together. Conversations started naturally, people connected with one another, and the community atmosphere extended well beyond the final yoga pose.
Matcha felt like the perfect complement to the morning. Refreshing, energizing, and carefully crafted, it provided a moment for everyone to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the experience together.
Bringing Your Own Cup
One of the most meaningful parts of the event was that it was entirely BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup).
As many of you know, Nomad was built around the belief that great coffee and drinks should not come at the expense of the environment. Since opening, we have worked to challenge the idea that single-use cups are a necessary part of café culture.
For this event, every participant arrived with their own tumbler or reusable cup. After class, everyone enjoyed their matcha without generating a single disposable cup.
Seeing dozens of people lined up with their reusable cups was a simple but powerful reminder that sustainable habits can be easy, practical, and enjoyable. Small actions become meaningful when an entire community chooses to participate together.
Events like this reinforce our belief that environmental responsibility does not need to feel restrictive. It can be social, inspiring, and woven naturally into everyday experiences.
Moments like these remind us why community matters and why we continue to push for a future with less waste and more meaningful connections.
We are excited to continue creating experiences that bring people together through coffee, sustainability, and shared values.
Until next time.
