Nomad Cafe Opens Third Location at Harry Jerome Community Centre
Zero Disposable Cups, 200,000 Pieces of Waste Diverted
We're excited to announce that Nomad, Vancouver's zero-waste cafe, is opening its third location at the Harry Jerome Community Centre in North Vancouver in 2026. This follows the opening of our second location in Kitsilano, as we continue to grow our commitment to sustainable coffee culture.
Our Environmental Impact
Since day one, we've held firm to one simple principle: absolutely no disposable cups. Not one. This commitment has helped us divert approximately 200,000 disposable cups from landfills and we're just getting started.
How BYOC Works
At the heart of our operation is our BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup) program. We encourage customers to bring their own cups, making environmental action part of their daily routine. It's more than just reducing waste. It's about empowering our community to make sustainable choices every day.
Forgot your cup? No problem. We offer eco-friendly cup rentals made from an innovative 3D-printing process using only clay, water, and salt. Yes, you read that right. Our rental cups are as natural as it gets.
Redefining Cafe Culture
The cafe industry has long struggled with single-use waste, but we believe there's a better way. Our model proves that environmental responsibility and business success can go hand in hand. The response from the community has been incredible, and we're thrilled to bring this sustainable approach to Harry Jerome Community Centre.
Our third location will offer North Vancouver residents a chance to be part of something bigger and joining a movement toward sustainable consumption, one cup of coffee at a time.
