OUR STORY

“The answer to waste is to stop creating it.”

Before Nomad, we ran a zero-waste café where we peeled the plastic linings out of paper cups by hand, just so they could be recycled.

That labour of love taught us a hard truth. So when we opened our first café on Bewicke in 2022, we went 100% single-use cup free.

We haven’t used a single disposable cup since.

At Nomad, caring for the planet doesn’t stop at the cup. 15% of the profits from every pour-over goes to Ocean Wise, supporting their work to protect and restore our ocean.

Every year, around 11 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean, and only 9% of single-use plastic in Canada is ever recycled. Ocean Wise works to stop that pollution at the source, and with every pour-over, you’re helping make it happen.
